- Be careful using the singular and plural of words when searching. For example, if you search on
"stones" in the Album Title field
, you'll find
all albums by the Rolling Stones, but no albums by the Stone Temple Pilots.
- Try entering just the lastname, or the firstname and lastname when searching on the Artist
field (e.g. "buffett" or "jimmy buffett", not "buffet, jimmy".)
- The search engine is not case sensitive (i.e. capitalization will be ignored.)
- The wildcard character * is recognized (i.e.. "john*" will find john, johnny, johnson, etc.)
Examples:
- Enter "white christmas" in the Album Title field and you'll get
Bing Crosby's White Christmas, Rudy Ray Moore's This Ain't No White Christmas, etc.
- Enter "beatles" in the Artist field and you'll get all The Beatles albums.
- Enter "beatles" in the Artist field and "revolver" in
the Album Title field and you'll get the album Revolver by the Beatles.
- Enter "bruce springsteen" in the Guest Artist field and you'll get all albums on which Bruce Springsteen has contributed as a guest artist.
- Enter "Columbia" in the Label field and you'll get all albums released on the Columbia label.
- Enter "1987" in the Year of Release field and you'll get all albums released in 1987.
